Application field

In suburban areas with lower density, the SolHyve system can be used for buildings of at least 2 storeys. In urban areas where the density is higher, the SolHyve system can be utilised in buildings of 3 storeys or higher.

The SolHyve system can be used in buildings with a depth of up to approximately 14 meter in cross-section, in case of average ceiling height. Larger floor depths can be obtained by realising an atrium or concourse between the building wings. The floor depth can be larger in hall buildings. The maximal proportion between the net floor height (h) and floor plan depth (d) is approximately 10d / h < 43.

The system can be used for instance for multi-storey office buildings, hospitals, hotels, apartment buildings, retail centres and various types of hall buildings at least 5 meter in height (e.g. a sports hall, railway station, airport terminal, factory hall or a storage hall).

A part of the ground around the building preferably consists of grass/vegetation, wood chips, gravel or permeable paving. This part of the parcel should consist of a minimum of impermeable surfaces, like asphalt or closed stone paving.
